Learn The Technique of Acrylic Painting (Monocrome Manta)
About The Workshop
Painting in a single color or monochrome could be the best way to do value exercise, which involves working to create lighter or darker tones in your painting. Moreover, artists choose to use black and white for aesthetic, emotional, and sometimes even for moral reasons. By reducing the color palette, we may direct the viewer’s attention on a particular subject. It can be very freeing – without the complexities of working in color, you can experiment with form, texture, mark making, and symbolic meaning.
At this workshop, we are going to capture the beauty of Indonesian ocean life by painting a Manta Fish swimming towards the surface, in a black and white. By eliminating colors, allows you to concentrate on the way light and shadow fall across the surface of the Manta Fish as the focal point. Aesthetically, the object will look sharper as the form and texture are emphasized. We look forward to seeing you in the class!

ABOUT THE TEACHER(S)
Kala Art is a group-based class and workshop that introduce arts and inspire creativity. We introduce art as an effective methodology to increase the student's memory and imagination thus inspires creativity. We believe that art of painting and mixed media can be used as training of the mind to unleash creativity in every individual. Therefore, we teach student not only the basic technique of painting but also we provide them with a space for improvisation, so that they may manifest their own formless imagination to something tangible or visible. By training their mind to think imaginatively using original and new ideas, instead of traditional or expected ideas, the student will be inspired to solve everyday problems more easily and even to create things that will benefit themselves and others. This method will also help them to understand and embrace the creative process, which is important for them to bring ideas into reality. These approaches are used through our various workshops such as: Acrylic painting for beginners & kids, Mixed Media Art for Kids, Storytelling and Art, Artperience workshop, etc
