Learn All About Waste Management and Home Composting with Sustainable Indonesia
About The Workshop
Hi Learners! Did you know? 60% of the trash that makes it to TPA Bantar Gebang is made up of organic waste. While many of us associate organic or compostable waste as eco-friendlier to plastic waste, the truth is organic waste that ends up in landfills still poses a serious problem to the environment.
In a landfill environment where organic and inorganic waste is piled up together making mountains of mixed waste, the lack of oxygen causes organic waste to release methane, a greenhouse gas far worse than carbon dioxide if released into the atmosphere.
We should all play our part in taking care of our dear Earth and one of the easiest things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint is to start composting at home, a process which lets you make fertilizer for your plants out of your organic waste and thereby keeping these materials from making it to landfill. Join us for a lesson on how to compost at home with Sustainable Indonesia. Register yourself now!
